Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie


The good folks at anime company Funimation have just sent us details about Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train, which will air on Funimation in the UK and Ireland starting Monday, August 30, 2021.

The TV series sparked a massive increase in manga sales and a movie was the natural progression for the franchise. The film did quite well in Japan, becoming the highest-grossing film ever at the Japanese box office.

In this feature film, Tanjiro and the other heroes (plus the annoying Zenitsu) go on an adventure to investigate death and disappearances on a steam train. The action occurs.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train is truly a global phenomenon earning over $470 million globally at the box office and becoming the #1 movie worldwide in 2020 and now anime fans can enjoy it exclusively on Funimation.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train is directed by Haruo Sotozaki with the original story by Koyoharu Gotoge with script and animation production by studio ufotable. The running time of the movie is one hour and 57 minutes and it is rated R. Set after the events of the TV series, Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train features Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu and Inosuke embark on a new mission. Together with one of the Demon Slayer Corps’ most powerful swordsmen, Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku, they investigate the mysterious disappearance of more than 40 people aboard the Mugen Train.

The Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime series, broadcast on Funimation both subtitled and dubbed in English, premiered in 2019 and is based on the manga by Koyoharu Gotoge, which has more than 150 million copies in circulation in Japan. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is an exciting and action-packed story about a young man searching for a cure for his sister, who has turned into a demon after his family is brutally slaughtered by demons.
